Season 4 Dress Code
August 2024-May 2025

A dress code is one way students show respect for their peers and their instructors. It demonstrates an understanding of how a dance class operates, with minimal distractions and the ability to move easily for any combination of steps or choreography.

A dress code should not make the dancer feel uncomfortable but rather confident and in the right mindset of the class he or she is taking.  It also helps identify the classes/levels that the dancers are in for the instructors.

Do not allow your dancer(s) to wear their dance shoes outside. Wearing dance shoes outside ruins the sole and also tracks dirt, oil, & gravel into the studio, causing damage to the custom marley flooring.

Dance shoes should be stored in a cool and dry location. Fibers in damp shoes often deteriorate more quickly. Do not store dance shoes in a plastic bag. Shoes that are unable to breathe decay and smell.

For your convenience, you may purchase SOME dance wear for your dancer(s) through our front office. We do not carry dance shoes in our inventory. We recommend Spells Dancewear for any shoes and other apparel. You can also find dance products at Target, Amazon, or Discount Dance Online. Dancers are welcome to borrow shoes from our Borrow Baskets in the lobby.
