Seasonal classes run just like a school year, August through May.
Our Season 4 classes are listed below (August 2024-May 2025).

Drop-In Classes & 6 Week Sessions for ages 1-5

Toddler Time

Drop-in style class for ages 1-5

45 minutes

Wednesdays 9:30-10:15am or Thursdays 9:30-10:15am

Toddler Time is a drop-in style class for toddler/preschool aged children and their grownup. Each themed class will include story time, motor skills props and activities, and obstacle course type equipment. Toddler time is perfect for children to enhance their social interaction, fine/gross motor skills, and playtime.

Need to Know for Toddler Time:

  • one class for $20 or 6 for $100 (fees are non-refundable)

  • 6 class purchase is good for 5 months from purchase

  • price is set per family (not per student)

  • must sign up for each class

  • only 10 spots per class

  • no food or drinks inside studio (with the exception of water)

  • no clothing or shoe requirement (please remove shoes if wet, dirty, or muddy)

My Grownup & Me 6 Week Session

6 week session for ages 1-3

30 minutes

Tuesdays 4:00-4:30pm

My Grownup & Me is a 6 week session creative movement dance class for children and their grownup. Each participant will listen and move to fun sing-song music, use props, interact with equipment all while learning about coordination and body movement exploration. My Grownup & Me is the perfect class for toddlers who aren't quite ready to be without their grownup but still wants to move. 

Need to Know for My Grownup & Me:

  • 6 week session price: $105 for first child. $95 for each additional sibling (fees are non-refundable)

  • only 10 spots per class

  • no food or drinks inside studio (with the exception of water)

  • no clothing or shoe requirement (please remove shoes if wet, dirty, or muddy)

  • no socks alone for children unless they have the rubber dots on the bottom

Creative Movement 6 Week Session

6 Week Session for ages 2-3

Creative movement class offers dancers a space for exploration, improvisation, and expression through movement. This class is for dancers who are ready to be in the classroom without their grownup. Dancers engage in sing-song dance with the use of music and props.

Need to Know for Creative Movement:

Tiny Tot A

Ballet & Tap for ages 3-4

Tiny Tot A is a creative movement class with introductions to ballet and tap techniques. The students will explore the space with dance and music. They will be introduced to basic ballet skills and vocabulary, basic tap steps and rhythms, and very basic jumps, rolls, and balancing skills. The students will learn proper dance etiquette including respecting one another, listening to the teacher, following instructions, and how to work well with others.

Tiny Tot A will perform a ballet dance of their own and participate in the Finale dance at the recital at the end of the season (spring 2025).

Need to Know & Dress Code for Tiny Tot A:

  • Dance shoes are NEVER to be worn outside. Dance shoes are made of materials that are not meant for concrete, pavement, grass, dirt, mud, puddles, restaurants, etc.

  • No necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches, or hair accessories that would cause a distraction.

  • Girls wear pink or skin colored tights and a blue dance dress or leotard. Skirts are optional-ELASTIC ONLY 

  • Girls wear pink ballet shoes without the elastic strings and black tap shoes-NO RIBBON TIES.

  • Boys wear black ballet shoes, black tap shoes, thin white socks, black athletic pants or shorts, and a blue t-shirt.

  • If possible, dancers should arrive early with enough time to use the restroom, put on shoes, and get settled before class begins. Dancers should never feel rushed or hastily "thrown" into class.

  • One parent or guardian must stay on site for the entirety of the class for restroom breaks or behavioral matters.

Tiny Tot B

Ballet & Tap for 4 year olds turning 5 within the season

Tiny Tot B is a combination of ballet and tap techniques. The students will learn basic ballet skills, positions, and basic tap steps as well as musical cues, rhythms, and timing. Basic jazz skills are introduced including types of shakes, skips, and jumping skills. The students will learn proper dance etiquette including respecting one another, listening to the teacher, following instructions, and how to work well with others. 

​

Tiny Tot B will perform a tap dance of their own and participate in the Finale dance at the recital at the end of the season (spring 2025).

Need to Know & Dress Code for Tiny Tot B:

  • Dance shoes are NEVER to be worn outside. Dance shoes are made of materials that are not meant for concrete, pavement, grass, dirt, mud, puddles, restaurants, etc.

  • No necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches, or hair accessories that would cause a distraction.

  • Girls wear pink or skin colored tights and a pink dance dress or leotard. Skirts are optional-ELASTIC ONLY

  • Girls wear pink ballet shoes without the elastic strings and black tap shoes-NO RIBBON TIES.

  • Boys wear black ballet shoes, black tap shoes, thin white socks, black athletic pants or shorts, and a pink t-shirt (white is also acceptable).

Tiny Tot Hop

Intro to hip hop for ages 4 turning 5 within the season

45 minutes

Monday 4:15-5:00pm

Tiny Tot Hop is an introduction to hip hop with basic hip hop technique, movement, and exercises. Dancers will learn basic tricks like rolls, cartwheels, and poses. This class is a fun, upbeat move and groove style class that is perfect for any tot that wants to get up and move!

​

Tiny Tot Hop will perform a hip hop dance of their own and participate in the Finale dance at the recital at the end of the season (spring 2025).

Need to Know & Dress Code for Tiny Tot Hop:

  • Dancers should have a separate pair of sneakers for class that they don't wear on the playground. Sneakers worn on playgrounds and in other outside activities bring in dirt, mud, and rocks that could damage the marley dance floor.

  • No necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches, or hair accessories that would cause a distraction.

  • Dancers may wear any clothing that they feel comfortable to move around in. NO JEANS.

  • Dancers might be asked to purchase a certain colored sneaker for the recital.

  • If possible, dancers should arrive early with enough time to use the restroom, put on shoes, and get settled before class begins. Dancers should never feel rushed or hastily "thrown" into class.

  • One parent or guardian must stay on site for the entirety of the class for restroom breaks or behavioral matters.

Tuition-Based Classes for ages 5-10

Elementary Combo

Ballet, Tap, & Jazz for 5-7 year olds

students must be 5 by August 15

Elementary Combo is a combination class that includes ballet and tap techniques as well as well as an introduction to jazz technique. This class will focus on rhythm, timing, musicality and basic dance vocabulary. The students will start to learn body alignment, posture, and dance etiquette. 

​

Elementary Combo will perform 2 dances of their own and participate in the Finale dance at the recital at the end of the season (spring 2025).

Need to Know & Dress Code for Elementary Combo:

  • Dance shoes are NEVER to be worn outside. Dance shoes are made of materials that are not meant for concrete, pavement, grass, dirt, mud, puddles, restaurants, etc.

  • No necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches, or hair accessories that would cause a distraction.

  • Girls wear pink or skin colored tights and a purple dance dress or leotard. Skirts are optional-ELASTIC ONLY

  • Girls wear pink ballet shoes without the elastic strings and black tap shoes-NO RIBBON TIES.

  • Boys wear black ballet shoes, black tap shoes, thin white socks, black athletic pants or shorts, and a purple t-shirt (white is also acceptable).

Elementary Hip Hop

Hip hop for ages 5-7

students must be 5 by August 15

45 minutes

Monday 5:10-5:55pm

Elementary Hip Hop introduces basic hip hop skills and tricks to upbeat music. Dancers will learn how to stretch properly and will be given strength exercises. This class will help students become stronger in balance, strength, rhythm, and coordination.

Elementary Hip Hop will perform a hip hop dance of their own and participate in the Finale dance at the recital at the end of the season (spring 2025).

Need to Know & Dress Code for Elementary Hip Hop:

  • Dancers should have a separate pair of sneakers for class that they don't wear on the playground. Sneakers worn on playgrounds and in other outside activities bring in dirt, mud, and rocks that could damage the marley dance floor.

  • No necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches, or hair accessories that would cause a distraction.

  • Dancers may wear any clothing that they feel comfortable to move around in. NO JEANS. All girls must wear a sports bra or undershirt. Hats and beanies are allowed as long as they do not become a distraction.

  • Dancers might be asked to purchase a certain color sneaker for the recital.

  • If possible, dancers should arrive early with enough time to use the restroom, put on shoes, and get settled before class begins. Dancers should never feel rushed or hastily "thrown" into class.

Preparatory Ballet

Ballet for ages 8-10

45 minutes

Tuesday 5:10-5:55pm

Preparatory classes are designed to prepare students for the leveled classes. This class will focus more on an extensive ballet vocabulary and mastering combinations. Proper dance etiquette and behavior is expected. Proper ballet form, technique, and discipline will be taught as the students get ready to move into Level 1. 

​

Preparatory Ballet will perform a ballet dance of their own and participate in the Finale dance at the recital at the end of the season (spring 2025).

Need to Know & Dress Code for Preparatory Ballet:

  • Dance shoes are NEVER to be worn outside. Dance shoes are made of materials that are not meant for concrete, pavement, grass, dirt, mud, puddles, restaurants, etc.

  • No necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches, or hair accessories that would cause a distraction.

  • Long hair must be secured away from the face in a bun or buns, ponytail or pig tails, or a braid or braids.

Tap & Jazz for ages 8-10

Preparatory classes are designed to prepare students for the leveled classes. This class will focus more on an extensive tap and jazz vocabulary and mastering combinations. Proper dance etiquette and behavior is expected. Proper jazz and tap form, technique, and discipline will be taught as the students get ready to move into Level 1.

Preparatory Tap/Jazz Combo will perform a tap or jazz dance of their own and participate in the Finale dance at the recital at the end of the season (spring 2025).

Need to Know & Dress Code for Preparatory Tap/Jazz Combo:

  • Dance shoes are NEVER to be worn outside. Dance shoes are made of materials that are not meant for concrete, pavement, grass, dirt, mud, puddles, restaurants, etc.

Hip hop for ages 8-10

Preparatory classes are designed to prepare students for the leveled classes. Preparatory Hip Hop introduces beginner hip hop skills and tricks to upbeat music. Ballet 1

Ballet starting at age 10

1 hour and 15 minutes

Thursday 6:20-7:35pm

Ballet 1 is a beginner level class that focuses on refining body lines and balance to prepare the student for the accurate execution of proper ballet movements. The students will focus on proper body placement, vocabulary, strength, grace and body support.

.

*Typically a minimum of 2-3 years of consecutive enrollment is required in this class before advancing to the next level.

Need to Know & Dress Code for Ballet 1:

  • Dance shoes are NEVER to be worn outside. Dance shoes are made of materials that are not meant for concrete, pavement, grass, dirt, mud, puddles, restaurants, etc.

  • No necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches, or hair accessories that would cause a distraction.

  • Hair must be secured away from the face in a bun or buns, ponytail or pig tails, or a braid or braids.

  • Girls may wear any leotard with pink, black, or skin colored tights and pink ballet shoes. Skirts are optional but not required. Cardigans or fitted long sleeved shirts are permitted when it's cold outside. NO HOODIES.

  • Boys may wear black jazz pants or tights with black shorts over or dance belt underneath. Black ballet shoes and any colored muscle shirt or t-shirt.

  • Dancers should bring a  water or they can purchase one at the desk for $1.

Tap 1

Tap starting at age 10

45 minutes

Tuesday 5:30-6:15pm

Tap 1 is a beginner leveled tap class that focuses on the basic beginner tap skills as well as balance, rhythm, timing, and leg/foot coordination. Students will be challenged with different foot speeds and executing steps from one foot to the other.

​

Tap 1 and Tap 2 will be a combined class for Season 4.

​

*Typically a minimum of 2-3 years of consecutive enrollment is required in Levels 1 and 2 before advancing to the next level.

Need to Know & Dress Code for Tap 1:

  • Dance shoes are NEVER to be worn outside. Dance shoes are made of materials that are not meant for concrete, pavement, grass, dirt, mud, puddles, restaurants, etc.

  • Hair must be secured away from the face in a bun or buns, ponytail or pig tails, or a braid or braids.

  • Girls may wear any dance tank or leotard, and leggings or biker shorts. Booty shorts are permitted with tights underneath. Boys should wear any athletic shirt or muscle shirt, any colored athletic pants or shorts.

Jazz 1

Jazz starting at age 10

1 hour and 15 minutes

Wednesday 4:25-5:40pm

Jazz 1 is a beginner jazz class that focuses on proper technique and proper body placement in order to execute certain skills, including turns and leaps. Strength and stamina is also a large focus for this class. Dancers will be challenged with memorizing combinations both in the center and across the floor. 

 

*Typically a minimum of 2-3 years of consecutive enrollment is required in Levels 1 and 2 before advancing to the next level. 

Need to Know & Dress Code for Jazz 1:

  • Dance shoes are NEVER to be worn outside. Dance shoes are made of materials that are not meant for concrete, pavement, grass, dirt, mud, puddles, restaurants, etc.

  • No necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches, or hair accessories that would cause a distraction.

  • Hair must be secured away from the face in a bun or buns, ponytail or pig tails, or a braid or braids.

  • Girls may wear any dance tank or leotard, and leggings or biker shorts. Booty shorts are permitted with tights underneath. Boys should wear any athletic shirt or muscle shirt, any colored athletic pants or shorts.

Contemporary 1

Contemporary starting at age 10

1 hour

Thursday 4:30-5:30pm

Contemporary is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of ballet, jazz, lyrical, improvisation, and modern techniques. Contemporary 1 is a beginner class where dancers will be encouraged to be versatile in their expressions, and will be able to portray a wide array of movement styles and emotion. This class focuses on spatial and body awareness, use of body weight, floor work, leaps, turns, efficiency of muscle usage, and safe body alignment. It is recommended that Contemporary students also take a ballet or jazz technique class to further improve the development of their contemporary technique.

*Typically a minimum of 2-3 years of consecutive enrollment is required in Level 1 and 2 before advancing to the next level. 

Need to Know for Contemporary 1:

  • Dance shoes are NEVER to be worn outside. Dance shoes are made of materials that are not meant for concrete, pavement, grass, dirt, mud, puddles, restaurants, etc.

  • No necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches, or hair accessories that would cause a distraction.

  • Hair must be secured away from the face in a bun or buns, ponytail or pig tails, or a braid or braids. On occasion the instructor will allow hair loose for specific exercises. 

  • Girls may wear any colored leotard or tank top, any colored leggings or tights, and barefoot or dance socks. Loose, flow shirts are permitted (no baggy t-shirts) and booty shorts with tights underneath. 

  • Boys may wear any colored athletic shirt or muscle shirt, any colored athletic pants or shorts, and barefoot or dance socks.

  • Dancers should bring a water or they can purchase one at the desk for $1.

Hip Hop 1

Hip hop starting at age 10

1 hour

Thursday 5:40-6:40pm

Hip Hop 1 is a beginner class that focuses on developing rhythm and coordination while encouraging individual style. Students will be able to have freedom of movement including adding in their own personalities. Dancers will practice various techniques, steps and moves focusing on rhythm, body awareness, and musical interpretation.

​

Hip Hop 1 and Hip Hop 2 will be a combined class for Season 4. 

​

*Typically a minimum of 2-3 years of consecutive enrollment is required in Level 1 and 2 before advancing to the next level.

Ballet 2

Ballet starting around age 12

1 hour and 15 minutes

Tuesday 6:25-7:40pm

Ballet 2 is an intermediate class that focuses on proper body placement, alignment, and turnout. At this level the student must understand ballet vocabulary and terminology. Work at this level becomes quicker and more intricate with barre, center, and across the floor technique.

​

*Typically a minimum of 2-3 years of consecutive enrollment is required in Level 1 and 2 before advancing to the next level. 

Need to Know for Ballet 2:

  • Dance shoes are NEVER to be worn outside. Dance shoes are made of materials that are not meant for concrete, pavement, grass, dirt, mud, puddles, restaurants, etc.

  • No necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches, or hair accessories that would cause a distraction.

  • Hair must be secured away from the face in a bun or buns, ponytail or pig tails, or a braid or braids.

Tap 2

Tap starting around age 12

45 minutes

Tuesday 5:30-6:15pm

Tap 2 is an intermediate class that focuses more intricate tap skills as well as balance, rhythm, timing, and leg/foot coordination. The students will start to learn at a quicker pace and will be introduced to more intermediate combinations at center and while traveling across the floor.

 

Tap 2 and Tap 1 will be a combined class for Season 4.

*Typically a minimum of 2-3 years of consecutive enrollment is required in Levels 1 and 2 before advancing to the next level.

Jazz 2

Jazz starting around age 12

1 hour and 30 minutes 

Wednesday 6:45-8:15pm

Jazz 2 is an intermediate class that focuses on proper technique and proper body placement in order to execute certain skills including turns and leaps. Students will also understand the importance of strength and stamina for this class. More intricate steps and combinations will be taught at a quicker and higher level.

​

*Typically a minimum of 2-3 years of consecutive enrollment is required in Levels 1 and 2 before advancing to the next level. 

Need to Know for Jazz 2:

  • Dance shoes are NEVER to be worn outside. Dance shoes are made of materials that are not meant for concrete, pavement, grass, dirt, mud, puddles, restaurants, etc.

  • No necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches, or hair accessories that would cause a distraction.

  • Hair must be secured away from the face in a bun or buns, ponytail or pig tails, or a braid or braids.

  • Girls may wear any dance tank or leotard, and leggings or biker shorts. Booty shorts are permitted with tights underneath. Boys should wear any athletic shirt or muscle shirt, any colored athletic pants or shorts.

  • All dancers should have black jazz shoes.

  • Dancers should bring a water to class or they can purchase one at the desk for $1.

Contemporary 2

Contemporary starting around age 12

1 hour

Thursday 6:50-7:50pm

Contemporary is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of ballet, jazz, lyrical, improvisation, and modern techniques. Contemporary 2 is an intermediate class where dancers will be encouraged to be versatile in their expressions, and will be able to portray a wide array of movement styles and emotion. This class focuses on spatial and body awareness, use of body weight, floor work, leaps, turns, efficiency of muscle usage, and safe body alignment. It is recommended that Contemporary students also take a ballet or jazz technique class to further improve the development of their contemporary technique.

Need to Know for Contemporary 2:

  • Dance shoes are NEVER to be worn outside. Dance shoes are made of materials that are not meant for concrete, pavement, grass, dirt, mud, puddles, restaurants, etc.

  • No necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches, or hair accessories that would cause a distraction.

  • Hair must be secured away from the face in a bun or buns, ponytail or pig tails, or a braid or braids. On occasion the instructor will allow hair loose for specific exercises. 

  • Girls may wear any colored leotard or tank top, any colored leggings or tights, and barefoot or dance socks. Loose, flow shirts are permitted (no baggy t-shirts) and booty shorts with tights underneath. 

  • Boys may wear any colored athletic shirt or muscle shirt, any colored athletic pants or shorts, and barefoot or dance socks.

  • Dancers should bring a water or they can purchase one at the desk for $1.

Hip Hop 2

Hip Hop starting around age 12

1 hour

Thursday 5:40-6:40pm

Hip Hop 2 is an intermediate class that focuses on developing rhythm and coordination while encouraging individual style. Students will be able to have freedom of movement including adding in their own personalities. Dancers will practice various techniques, steps and moves focusing on rhythm, body awareness, and musical interpretation.

Hip Hop 2 and Hip Hop 1 will be a combined class for Season 4. 

Need to Know for Hip Hop 2:

  • Dancers should have a separate pair of sneakers for class that they don't wear on the playground. Sneakers worn on playgrounds and in other outside activities bring in dirt, mud, and rocks that could damage the marley dance floor.

  • No necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches, or hair accessories that would cause a distraction.

  • Dancers may wear any clothing that they feel comfortable to move around in. NO JEANS. All girls must wear a sports bra or undershirt. Hats and beanies are allowed as long as they do not become a distraction.

  • Dancers might be asked to purchase a certain color sneaker for the recital.

  • If possible, dancers should arrive early with enough time to use the restroom, put on shoes, and get settled before class begins. Dancers should never feel rushed or hastily "thrown" into class.

  • Please have your dancer bring a water or they can purchase one at the desk for $1.

Tap 3

Tap starting around age 14

45 minutes

Wednesday 5:50-6:35pm

Tap 3 is an advanced tap class that focuses more intricate tap skills as well as balance, rhythm, timing, and leg/foot coordination. The students will learn at a quicker pace and will be introduced to more advanced combinations at center and while traveling across the floor.

  • Dance shoes are NEVER to be worn outside. Dance shoes are made of materials that are not meant for concrete, pavement, grass, dirt, mud, puddles, restaurants, etc.

  • No necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches, or hair accessories that would cause a distraction.

  • Hair must be secured away from the face in a bun or buns, ponytail or pig tails, or a braid or braids.

  • Girls may wear any dance tank or leotard, and leggings or biker shorts. Booty shorts are permitted with tights underneath. Boys should wear any athletic shirt or muscle shirt, any colored athletic pants or shorts.

Jazz 3

Jazz starting around age 14

1 hour and 30 minutes

Wednesday 6:45-8:15pm

Jazz 3 is an advanced class that focuses on proper technique and proper body placement in order to execute certain skills including turns and leaps. Students will also understand the importance of strength and stamina for this class. More intricate steps and combinations will be taught at a quicker and higher level.
